This easy Garlic Parmesan Pasta uses simple ingredients you likely already have, making it perfect for a weeknight dinner.
With only 6 ingredients and 20 minutes of cooking, you’ll create a creamy, garlicky dish that’s satisfying and rich in flavor.
The combination of fresh garlic and Parmesan will elevate this dish, while using chicken broth adds depth without breaking the bank.
Ingredients
8 oz. spaghetti or any pasta you have (about half a box)
2 cups chicken broth or vegetable broth
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp butter or olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
(Optional) Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
Step 1
In a large pot or Dutch oven, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
Step 2
Pour in the chicken broth and bring it to a boil. Add the uncooked pasta to the pot, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking. Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook the pasta for about 10-12 minutes or until it's tender and the liquid has reduced.
Step 3
Once the pasta is cooked, stir in the grated Parmesan cheese. The sauce will thicken and become creamy. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Step 4
(Optional) Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and an extra sprinkle of Parmesan if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Tips
For a flavor boost, toss in some sautéed mushrooms or steamed broccoli for added texture and nutrients.
Want a protein addition? Stir in leftover rotisserie chicken or add grilled shrimp.
